I spend a couple of weeks in the summer visiting my dad in Japan. His house is in more of a country area in Chiba, where the only store close to his house was a 7-11. This may surprise you, but there are 7-11s EVERYWHERE in Japan! It is almost the same frequency as a Starbucks in North America: basically one on every corner.
So of course, when we wanted lunch/dinner/breakfast… we could walk down to the 7-11 and get some food. Because in Japan, there is actual FOOD in the 7-11 and not just junk food. My dad would go for the curry buns while I would always go for a bento box. And of course some cool Japanese candy!
This box brought me back to Japan, and all the cool flavours that they have in candy/snack food form.
Have you ever tried Mitsuya Cider Candy? If you haven’t tried it, click the link and buy it now!! It is one of my favourite candies EVER. Because in the December box that I received, there was a Soda Candy Paper that tasted exactly like like those candies!! One of my favourite things in this box.
There was also chocolate burger cookies that I could snack on all day if I could. Good thing the box was small. I would gain 10 lbs mindlessly eating those.
I loved this box so much that I want you all to try it out too.
The generous people over at Japan Candy Box is offering a giveaway to one lucky reader. But seriously, if you wanted to subscribe yourself, it is soooo worth it. If you subscribe to the one year plan, boxes are $18.20 a month, with one delicious box delivered to your door every month. So much fun opening the box and seeing just what you got.
Good luck to all!
