Peanut Butter Mocha Oatmeal made with strong coffee is perfect for breakfast. One of my favourite oatmeal recipes.
Another oatmeal recipe! What’s new?
Is it more acceptable that I’m making oatmeal during the fall rather than in the middle of summer? Here in Toronto, it hasn’t been feeling like fall at ALL. We have been having heat warnings every day this past week. Maybe that’s why my crazy backwards brain has been craving oatmeal.
Who am I kidding, I am always craving oatmeal!!
Do you know what else I am always craving? The chocolate and peanut butter combo.
To be honest, I don’t think there is a day that goes by where I DON’t eat some kind of peanut butter and chocolate concoction. I don’t know what I would do if I became allergic to peanut butter. Or WORSE! Chocolate!
I shudder at the thought. While I shovel this peanut butter mocha oatmeal into my mouth.
Okay, I know. Peanut butter and mocha? That sounds like the weirdest combo ever.
Just stick with me. Because if having both your peanut butter and chocolate fix AND your coffee intake ALL IN ONE BOWL isn’t reason enough, consider how this oatmeal is ready in under 10 minutes and can be made vegan and gluten free! Yeah, that means everyone can enjoy this bowl of deliciousness.
Except for those people with allergies. I am deeply, truly sorry if that is you. But since my school doesn’t allow me to eat peanut products, I have got to get as much in before and after to make up for it.
Despite the heat wave, this has made a regular appearance for breakfast this past week.
I like to melt the peanut butter and chocolate on top to make all the ingredients swirl together. It is both prettier and easier to eat. But if you want to cut back on the time (and the amount of dishes to wash. ugh), then just plop the peanut butter on the oatmeal and sprinkle the chocolate chips over it. Depending on how hot your oatmeal is, it may melt on its own. Without having to wash more dishes. WIN!

This is the best looking oatmeal I have seen in a while!! Makes me want to go make a bowl right now to be honest. Love that the oats are cooked in the coffee. We’ve got the heat wave to but its starting to change now 😉 . Take care.

Thank you!! I am addicted to making oatmeal, and I love adding coffee in because I never have enough time to drink a cup before I head out the door!

I’d be devastated if I had to stop eating peanut butter, chocolate and coffee. I seriously love all three things and usually have them all at some point during the day. Especially coffee! This oatmeal is my dream combination.

Right? You can get it all in one bowl!

This sounds like a recipe that would work well for overnight oats as well.

Yes, I think that would be great!
