Easy Valentine’s Day M&M Cookies recipe. This is the perfect last minute dessert idea to make for your sweetheart or for yourself.
One month away, and I am already thinking about Valentine’s Day.
I always seem to be behind on making food for holidays that I thought, this month, I am going to be early. I’m going to start an entire month earlier so that if (actually it is really going to be “when”) the holiday rolls around, I will at least have one recipe to show for it.
And this is probably going to be the one and only Valentine’s Day recipe this year.
Me and John have never really done Valentine’s Day. I think most of those years, we were apart: either he was in Russia and I was in Vancouver, or I was in Vancouver and he was in Toronto… or I was in Toronto and he was in Vancouver. So we kind of just ignore the day.
But it does give me an excuse to make some sappy looking food. Like my favourite I make every year: my Easy Cake Pop recipe. That is also the recipe where I announce my engagement, so it is always fun rereading my post and how giddy I was.
What do you need to make these Valentine’s Day M&M Cookies?
These Valentine’s Day M&M Cookies are so quick and easy to make, they would work perfectly as a last-minute kind of recipe too. All you need is:
- butter
- sugars (white and brown)
- egg
- vanilla
- flour
- baking soda
- m&ms (or whatever mix-ins you want!)
That’s it!
You can definitely make these cookies into a non Valentine’s day themed recipe by switching up the M&Ms to a Christmas theme. Or a St. Patrick’s theme.
But right now? I’m going to be making this Valentine’s Day theme on repeat.
