Easy Oreo Brownies recipe. The best of two of your favourite desserts, this fudgy, chocolatey treat is perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ever since we moved to our new house, it has been harder for me to go to the grocery store to buy things we don’t need.
For one thing, we have been getting meal kits delivered to our house because, frankly, right now it’s cheaper than buying groceries. And raising a little baby is taking all of our mental capacity, we never have any energy to think of things to make for dinner.
But for another thing, the grocery store is so far away from our house. I can’t just walk over when I’m bored and browse the aisles. We actually plan what we need, and take a trip specifically for that. Which, if you ask me, takes all the fun out of shopping for groceries. Don’t worry. On our most recent trip, I managed to sneak in buying some Oreo cookies to make these Oreo Brownies.
This might be my new favorite brownie recipe. You can get the Oreo flavor along with an extra fudgy brownie.
Oreo Brownies Ingredients
You just need a couple of simple ingredients to make these fudgy Oreo brownies. All you need is:
- vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
- granulated sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- baking powder
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- salt
- all purpose flour
- chopped Oreos
Tips
Storage: Store these brownies in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature. If you want them to last longer, they can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days, however they may begin to dry out.
Serve these delicious Oreo brownies with ice cream. Want extra decadent brownies? A scoop of vanilla ice cream really takes these gooey brownies to the next level.
Line the baking pan for easy cleanup. I like to line my square pan with parchment paper, but aluminum foil works well too. Greasing the pan is the option I usually go with.
Variations
Add in some chocolate chips. I love adding white chocolate chips for a pop of color, but peanut butter chips might be a close second. But for all of my chocolate lovers out there, dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips work well in this recipe.
Use box brownie mix for the brownie base. Don’t have time to make homemade brownies? A box of brownie mix works well in the place of the brownie base. There is no shame in using box mix!
Add something extra to the top of the brownie batter. I love adding some whole Oreos or a little bit of peanut butter cups. You could also consider adding some creamy frosting on top if want a really great dessert.
