Easy Cheddar Cream Biscuits recipe. This savoury quick bread is fluffy and so tasty. Made with only 5 ingredients.
Tomorrow is Halloween. But what am I doing?
Posting a recipe for Cheddar Cream Biscuits. Not quite in the Halloween spirit, but definitely in the comforting fall recipes to go with your favourite soup. And I am pairing this with all my soups lately.
(if you want some Halloween recipe inspo, I have been posting recipes on my Instagram all week to get you in the mood. Or if you truly wanted a fall themed appetizer, check out these mini pumpkin cheese ball bites)
If you want a quick and easy biscuit recipe to go with your soup, these Cheddar Cream Biscuits are the recipe for you.
Made with only 5 ingredients, and you barely need to shape them. Just form the dough into a rectangle with your hands and cut them into smaller rectangles. Super easy.
Then pop it into your oven for 15 minutes and you are done!
What do you need to make these Cheddar Cream Biscuits?
These are the 5 ingredients you will need:
- flour
- baking powder
- salt
- cheese
- heavy cream
That’s it!
I have loved pairing this recipe with my Potato Bacon and Corn Chowder that I made last week, or my classic Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
Some may say that that is too much cheese in one meal. I say: there is no such thing!

Cheddar Cream Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and cheese.
- Using the dough hook attachment on our stand mixer, slowly mix in the heavy cream until dough forms, around 5 minutes.
- Form a rectangle on the prepared baking pan with the dough 1 inch thick. Cut into squares. Separate the squares slightly and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes. If it is still not done, reduce heat to 350°F and cook until the middle of the biscuits seem firm.
Notes
- You can form into balls if you want.
- These are best enjoyed right away, but if you have extra store in an airtight container. Reheat in the microwave for 20 seconds.

These biscuits are delicious! I love the texture the cream cheese added, and the cheddar gave them the best flavor.

I see that the recipe calls for cream, but your comment mentions cream cheese…could you clarify?

These are totally different from what we know as biscuits in the UK, but they look deliciously cheesy.

Haha, it’s true. When I watch the Great British Baking Show and they have biscuit week, I half expect them to look like this.
