White Chocolate Protein Blended Baked Oats Ingredients
This white chocolate protein oats recipe is so easy to make! You just need 9 simple ingredients. All you need is:
- rolled oats
- vanilla protein powder
- chia seeds
- whole egg
- whole milk
- pure maple syrup
- baking powder
- vanilla extract
- white chocolate chips
Tips
Can I use different types of oats? You are basically making oat flour out of the old fashioned oats, so you can use whichever oats you like. However, I prefer steel-cut oats over quick oats, because it is both healthier and produces a better texture.
Make it vegan. The substitutions you will need to do are for the protein powder, egg, milk and white chocolate chips.
- Protein powder: instead of whey protein, use a plant-based vanilla protein powder.
- Egg: Use a flax egg. To make a flax egg, mix 1 Tablespoon of flaxseed meal to 3 Tablespoons of water. Allow to rest for 5 minutes, then add in place of the egg.
- Milk: any non-dairy milk would work in place of the whole milk. My favorite plant-based milk alternatives to use are unsweetened almond milk, soy milk or oat milk.
- White Chocolate Chips: try to find dairy free white chocolate chips. Enjoy Life brand is my favorite.
Don’t have a small blender? You can just as easily use a food processor.
Grease the ramekin. A greased ramekin is essential to helping these baked oats not stick. Just coat the individual ramekins with cooking spray or some butter before pouring the oat mixture in.
