Easy Bears in a Blanket recipe. Made with only 3 ingredients, this cute snack idea uses crescent rolls to make a quick and easy treat.
My son has a new obsession. He has always loved it when we read to him, but we have recently picked up a Berenstain Bears book from the library and it is all he talks about. He has two teddy bears in his bed which he calls Brother and Sister bear, and that he always tucks into his “cozy blanket”.
Because of this obsession with his bears in blankets, I thought that I would make him a dessert reminiscent of his bears in a blanket. And now, he has a new food obsession.
This simple snack idea is so fun to make, it would be the perfect activity to do with your kids over the holidays. Or just make it for yourself, because they are just so gosh darn cute.
Bears in a Blanket Ingredients
This cute snack idea only uses 3 simple ingredients. All you need is:
- refrigerated crescent rolls
- chocolate squares
- teddy grahams
Equipment
- baking sheet
- parchment paper
Tips
Storage: These are best eaten right away. However, if you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
Add an egg wash. While I usually make these bears in a blanket without an egg wash, you can lightly brush the uncooked crescent roll dough in an egg wash to make the tops more golden brown.
Replace the crescent roll dough. Instead of crescent rolls, use puff pastry instead! I love a delicious puff pastry treat, so that makes it such a great variation.
Switch out the chocolate. I used a dark chocolate square for the pillow, but if you wanted it to look more like a pillow, use white chocolate! But any chocolate you have on hand would work as well.
