Easy Birthday Cake Mini Oreo Cheesecakes recipe. The perfect size cheesecake that is sure to be a huge hit with the whole family.
One of the main reasons why I avoid making a traditional cheesecake is because it seems like such a hassle. You need to deal with a water bath, then making sure the cheesecake mixture doesn’t have any air bubbles.. it just seems like it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
But as a cheesecake lover, I needed to find a way around this. Luckily, I discovered that you can make these birthday mini Oreo cookie cheesecakes that take less time and are fail-proof. All you need is 6 ingredients, a muffin tin and some paper liners. They are the perfect dessert to make last minute, and are one of the most popular recipes that I make. I made them for my birthday last month, and for a baby shower I went to over the weekend, and they were one of the first things to go.
Birthday Cake Mini Oreo Cheesecakes Ingredients
You just need 6 simple ingredients to make this mini Oreo Cheesecake recipe. All you need is:
- Oreo cookies
- room-temperature cream cheese
- white sugar
- large eggs
- cake batter flavor
- sprinkles
Tips
Storage: Store these Oreo Mini Cheesecakes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 6 days.
Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature. Keeping the eggs and cream cheese at room temperature helps when mixing the batter. It is much easier for the mixture to come together when you beat room temperature cream cheese as opposed to cream cheese that just came out of the fridge.
Variations
Make an Oreo cookie crust. I am fairly lazy, so I just put a whole Oreo cookie on the bottom of each of the muffin liners in the muffin pan. But if you wanted to go above and beyond and make a buttery Oreo crust, here’s what you do. Mix together 2 cups Oreo crumbs with 5 Tbsp melted unsalted butter. Then pack them into the bottom of each baking cup lined with cupcake liners, and top with the creamy cheesecake filling. Follow the original recipe for the remainder of the steps.
Switch up the mix-ins. Don’t have any sprinkles on hand? Try adding some milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips into the cheesecake batter. For my fellow Oreo lovers, I would suggest making a creamy Oreo cheesecake filling by mixing in some chopped Oreos or some mini Oreos.
