Easy Birthday Cake Pretzel Bites recipe. Made with only 3 ingredients, this last minute dessert idea perfectly combines sweet and salty.
We start school on Wednesday!
Am I ready? Probably not. There are always things that you just can’t plan for. But what I am planning on doing is making these Birthday Cake Pretzel Bites to celebrate the start of the school year. Because even though it isn’t my birthday, I can still celebrate as though it is.
Birthday Cake Pretzel Bites Ingredients
You don’t need much to make these pretzel bites. All you need is:
- circular pretzels
- birthday cake kisses
- m&ms
That’s it!
Tips & Tricks
- Store these pretzel bites in an airtight container to prevent the pretzels from getting stale. They can be stored at air temperature, but make sure you keep it out of the heat or sunlight! The chocolate is very prone to melting.
- These are best made in smaller batches because you may not be able to press the m&ms into the melted chocolate in time. If you wanted to make 2 cookie sheets worth, make sure to stagger the time so that you have time to press all the m&ms into one of the trays before moving on to the other one.
- Small twist pretzels are a great substitute for the circular pretzels. I just like the look of the circular ones because it’s more symmetrical, but really any other shape works well in a pinch.
- Do not store these pretzel bites in the fridge or freezer! This will result in a more brittle chocolate, and won’t taste as good.
