Easy Brown Butter Peanut Butter Blondies recipe. A quick and simple dessert idea topped with peanut butter chips.
It has been a while!
Like I was saying in my last post that I posted ONE WEEK AGO, it is SO busy around here. Report cards, final exams, papers, lesson plans.. I am swamped!
But that’s nothing some Brown Butter Peanut Butter Blondies can’t fix, right?
These blondies are so easy to make. Seriously! All you need is:
- unsalted butter
- flour
- baing powder
- salt
- brown sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- peanut butter chips
That’s it!!
If you haven’t tried peanut butter chips, you are missing out!!
My husband can’t stand most forms of peanut butter. But when it’s in a chip form? Well, all I’m going to say is that I have seen him eat them out of the bag on more occasions than I can count.
Now put it in some blondies and we’ve got ourselves a killer dessert.
So whether you are stress baking, stress eating or a combination of the two, you need to try this!!
Now that Spring Break officially starts this evening, I might even bake this once a day. Who knows?
If you try this recipe, let me know! Rate it, leave a comment and tag me with #atasteofmadness on Instagram! I always love seeing what you are creating!
Brown Butter Peanut Butter Blondies
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven 350˚F. Grease an 8 inch square pan and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, whisking frequently. Watch for brown specks and nutty aroma.
- Once the butter smells nutty, pour into a large bowl to stop the butter from cooking.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix in the brown sugar to the butter. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with peanut butter chips.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out mostly clean.

Would it be okay to put a layer of dark chocolate chips under the peanut butter chips?
atasteofmadness
Yes, I think that would make these so good!
