Easy Butterfinger Cookies recipe. This is the perfect way to use up your leftover halloween candy, and makes a great dessert idea.
Another Butterfinger recipe? It’s almost as if I’m starting to like this chocolate bar.
While it is true that Butterfingers are starting to grow on me, I’m not sure if I can handle eating them on their own.
But in these Butterfinger Cookies? That’s a different story.
Plus they are extremely easy to make. All you need is:
- butter
- sugar
- eggs
- flour
- baking soda
- salt
- butterfinger chocolates
That’s it!
I am sure that this recipe will come in handy when I have so much leftover candy in October. This recipe and my Butterfinger Blondies that I made a couple of weeks ago will be saving me and the sheer amount of Butterfinger Chocolates that I usually have leftover.
So whether it’s the weeks after Halloween and you want to use up leftover candy, or love buying Butterfinger chocolates year round, these cookies are the perfect way to use them up.

Well doesn’t this sound like the perfect little afternoon treat. No one can resist freshly baked cookies. I know these will disappear in a flash here.

It never lasts long here! Thanks Gloria 🙂

Great looking cookies! Would you believe I have NEVER had a butterfinger bar? I don’t even know if we have them in Canada. Would any other candy bar work as well?
atasteofmadness
Omg yes you do have it in Canada!! I remember getting them in my halloween candy as a kid growing up in Vancouver 🙂 But I don’t think they have it any other time there other than in the fall. But any other candy bar would work too!!

I can not believe you have incorporated my favorite Butterfinger chocolate into a recipe. Those cookies are already baking in the oven. Wohoo.

Look at those cute and perfectly shaped cookies! I like that they’re a little chunky, I really hate it when they flatten down. They’re perfect!
atasteofmadness
Definitely agree on you there! Flat cookies are not my favourite.

Love how easy these cookies look to make. I’m not sure if we can find butterfingers here in Italy. But I read they are now made by a subsidiary of Ferrero (makers of Nutella and Italian) So, am going to look for them!
atasteofmadness
Ooh that is good to know!!

I have bags of butterfinger crumble for baking. Do you know how much 7 fun size bars equal in cup measurements?
atasteofmadness
It would be around 3/4 cup. You can always add more though!!

This came together very quickly. I liked not having to chill the dough.. i bake 17 cookies 14 minutes.. my son ate one hot off the cookie sheet and said they were good but probably they would be better cooler. I like them cool. The butterfinger candy gets really crispy as the cookies cool. I’m old and they are not excessively sweet to me. They are soft in center and have crispy edges. I will make them again. Thanks for this recipe. I’m going to try with different candies.
