Easy Cake Mix Mummy Cakesicles recipe. Made with only 5 ingredients, this makes a great last minute Halloween dessert idea.
It’s the beginning of fall!! So what does that mean??
Let’s bust out all of the Halloween treats. I am so ready. And my first Halloween recipe of the year? These Cake Mix Mummy Cakesicles.
What you need to make Cake Mix Mummy Cakesicles
These cakesicles are so easy to make, you could even make it once a week until Halloween! All you need is:
- 1 box white cake mix
- frosting
- white chocolate chips
- coconut oil
- candy eyeballs
That’s it!
Tips and Tricks
While it may be tempting to put these cakesicles in the freezer to cool faster, don’t do it! The eyeballs will start to spread out due to the condensation and your mummies will look possessed. Although, that could be a pretty spooky look for these Halloween treats.
If you wanted to make these cakesicles ahead of time, I would suggest making the cake mix mixture and putting it in the freezer until ready to use. Then when you are ready to make them, melt the chocolate and set them in the molds.
OR you could coat them in the white chocolate without the eyeballs. Then when you are ready to serve them, melt a little bit of white chocolate to stick on the eyeballs. The candy eyeballs do not look good for long when they are in the fridge or freezer.
