Easy Chocolate Almond Butter Blended Baked Oats recipe. Made without banana, this breakfast idea is healthy, vegan and gluten free.
Can you tell that I’m obsessed with baked oats?
Honestly, it is one of the only ways I convince other people to start eating oatmeal for breakfast. But can you really call it oatmeal when it tastes just like cake? This Chocolate Almond Butter Blended Baked Oats is so easy to make, and honestly tastes like dessert for breakfast.
What do you need to make this Chocolate Almond Butter Blended Baked Oats?
Basically just my pantry essentials. All you need is:
- oats
- chia seeds
- maple syrup
- almond butter (or any nut butter)
- cocoa powder
- oat milk (or any milk)
- baking powder
That’s it!
Substitutions and variations
I never used to have almond butter as a staple in my kitchen. If that is you, you can replace the almond butter for any nut butter you may have in your kitchen. Heck, even substitute it for cookie butter! I’m sure that would make this a super decadent breakfast idea that you will be excited to make in the morning.
One thing I wouldn’t do is add chocolate chips to the batter. Because the batter is so watery, all of the chocolate will sink to the bottom. That will leave you with a sticky mess at the bottom of the ramekin, and a pain to clean up afterwards.

I love almond butter and the combination of this with chocolate sounds like an amazing breakfast.
It’s one of my favourites 🙂
My husband doesn’t like banana so this is the perfect post workout breakfast for him!
Ooh yes so good!
This was super delicious! Loved the almond butter and a subtle hint of maple syrup! Great breakfast that everyone in the family enjoyed!
So glad you all enjoyed it! 🙂
Just made it for breakfast and it was delicious! It was filling, dense, rich and not too sweet. I adapted the recipe to make more servings for my muffin pan (6 total, I bet my partner will eat a lot of that lol). The only thing that I did differently was to add a tiny bit of vanilla extract and the sweetener was a 50/50 ratio of monk fruit and maple syrup (I have to control added sugar in meals for health issues). Thank you for this awesome healthy recipe for breakfast!
Ohh your adaptations sound so good! So glad you liked it! 🙂
