Since it was my husband’s birthday last weekend, we had a LOT of chocolate cake leftover. Even though the chocolate cake was a huge hit, there is only so much chocolate cake we can eat when I continually bake new recipes almost every day. So what do I do? I make these Chocolate Cake Cheesecake Cups of course!
If you already have the leftover cake, then this recipe is only made with 3 ingredients. This makes these individual cups is a great idea for when you need a last minute dessert.. The perfect portion size, I am already planning on making this again for Valentine’s Day.
Chocolate Cake Cheesecake Cups Ingredients
You only need 3 ingredients to make this no bake cheesecake cups recipe. All you need is:
- cream cheese
- sweetened condensed milk
- leftover chocolate cake
Tips
Storage: It is best to store the chocolate cake and creamy cheesecake batter separately. Store each component in a separate airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. You can store leftover cups in the fridge covered with plastic wrap, but I wouldn’t store that longer than 1 day.
Use plastic cups. If you are making them for special events, using plastic cups makes it so much easier to transport and clean up. You could also make them in a small bowl if that is all you have.
If you make the cake beforehand, make sure it is cooled before assembling. Ensuring the cake cools to room temperature will help avoid spoiling the cream cheese filling.
Variations
Add a crust layer. To make it even more reminiscent of mini cheesecakes, add either an Oreo crust or a Graham Cracker Crust layer. To make these layers, just blend some Oreo cookies or graham crackers in a food processor. Pulse until you get fine crumbs. Then mix the Oreo or graham cracker crumbs with some butter then layer!
Top with your favorite mix-ins or toppings. For all my fellow chocolate lovers, you can top this cheesecake with mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings. You can even mix in some chocolate pudding if you are getting fancy. I also love topping these dessert cups with fresh berries or fruit.

Chocolate Cake Cheesecake Cups
Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups leftover chocolate cake, crumbled
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- In small glass containers, add 2 Tablespoons of the cake crumbs. Top with 2 Tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat one more time. Serve immediately.
