This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe is so easy to make! Made with 3 bananas, chocolate chips and mayonnaise! It sounds weird, but it’s so good!
This past week, I have been going through my recipe archives and remaking some of my old recipes to have updated (read: good looking) photos. While this process is exhausting, it is fun to remember all the recipes I have made over the years.
And guess what? I have never made a chocolate chip banana bread!! The closest thing I made to a chocolate chip banana bread are my peanut butter and banana chocolate chip muffins. This needed to change!
So finally, after years of blogging, I have made my first chocolate chip banana bread.
My fiance is always complaining that I should just make quote “regular banana bread”. If he is planning on marrying a food blogger, he should get used to the crazy experiments with food.
But this chocolate chip banana bread? Yeah, this is the closest he is going to get to “regular banana bread” from now on.
That is, until I redo the photos for my old banana bread recipe.
Honestly, it’s a wonder I don’t make banana bread more often. It is one of my favourite things to eat for breakfast, or to snack on while standing over the sink scrolling through my Instagram (sound familiar? 😉).
And it is so easy to make! This one uses 3 ripe bananas, but if you want some other recipes involving bananas, head over to my post on 10 things to make with only one ripe banana. That post was made because I was so sick and tired of being left with one ripe banana and never knowing what to do with it!
Okay. So let’s talk about this chocolate chip banana bread. You may have noticed that there is some mayonnaise. While there is not much mayonnaise in this bread, I found that it does make the bread a heck of a lot more moist.
And I used my general rule for baking. That is, if you want to make it 10x better, add chocolate chips. Unless it already has chocolate chips.
Nah, I would still add more ❤🍫.
