Easy Christmas Nutella Cups recipe. This festive treat is the perfect last minute dessert idea using only 3 ingredients.
I can’t believe we are already almost one week into December. Where has the time gone?
I am still playing catch up with sleep, work, moving into our new house.. and you’re telling me it’s almost Christmas? I’m going to have to make a lot of last minute recipes, and STAT.
Looks like it’s time to make these Christmas Nutella Cups on repeat.
What you need to make Christmas Nutella Cups
It’s so easy, you have no excuse NOT to make it. All you need is:
- Nutella
- coconut oil
- Christmas Sprinkles
That’s it!
Substitutions and Variations
Obviously, the sprinkles can be substituted for anything you have on hand. Chocolate chips, nuts, shredded coconut… whatever creative idea you think of you can top these Nutella cups with it! That’s what makes this recipe so versatile. It can be made for literally any occasion you like. All you need to do is substitute the Christmas sprinkles with whatever sprinkles the holiday in question has.
As for the coconut oil, there is really no substitute for that. You will need to use coconut oil here, otherwise they won’t harden as nicely as these do.
However, you can always replace the Nutella with your favourite spread, like peanut butter or Biscoff spread. Biscoff spread might be my favourite swap out in this recipe.
