This summer, I have been making bubble tea on repeat. Mainly so that I won’t spend all my money on bubble tea somewhere else, but also because it is freaking hot and I need a way to cool down.
And this Cookies and Cream Milkshake Bubble Tea is one of my favourite ways.
What you need to make Cookies and Cream Milkshake Bubble Tea
Nothing could be easier than making this bubble tea. All you need is:
- cookies and cream ice cream
- milk
- cooked pearls
That’s it!
If you haven’t tried a milkshake paired with cooked tapioca pearls, you haven’t lived!
Back when I was 13, my first actual job was at a bubble tea shop. And with that job, the biggest perk was making your own free drink daily.
Can you guess what my go-to was? If you guessed milkshake bubble tea, then you would be correct.
First thing is first when you are making this drink. You will have to make the pearls.
Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as you think it would be! I have a recipe for Instant Pot Tapioca Pearls that only require 2 ingredients, and takes 5 minutes to make.
Next, mix up a drink! Really any drink works, but if you want something decadent, I would definitely suggest this cookies and cream one.

Cookies and Cream Milkshake Bubble Tea
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cookies and cream ice cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cooked pearls
Instructions
- Puree the ice cream and the milk in a blender until smooth.
- Place the cooked pearls in a glass and pour the milkshake on top.
Notes
- You can switch up the flavour of this milkshake with whatever ice cream you have on hand.
- For the tapioca pearls, I make them using my recipe for Instant Pot Tapioca Pearls.

Hi! Delicious but my tapioca got hard once I poured the milkshake. Is there a solution to this?
Huh, that has never happened to me. Perhaps heat the pearls up a little bit in the microwave before pouring in the milkshake
