Easy Easter Nest Nutella Cups recipe. Made with only 4 ingredients, this dessert idea will become one of your favorite treats for the holidays.
It is Good Friday tomorrow already, and I am scrambling to think of last minute Easter recipes to make for this Easter weekend.
Since some of my favorite recipes are Nutella cup ones, I thought that it would only be fitting to make these Easter Nest Nutella Cups.
I love Easter baking, but this year we are going on a road trip, so we will have to alter our Easter traditions for this year. This year, I am making these no bake, easy chocolate nests with some chocolate Easter eggs inside. These Nutella cups make a fun treat to add to your Easter table. And if these Nutella cups were at the dessert table at my Easter celebration, I know that they wouldn’t last long.
While it only looks a little bit like the shape of a bird nest, no one will care because they are so good. It is one of my favorite sweet treats for the holidays, and it’s a fun way to use up any extra Mini Eggs lying around.
Easter Nest Nutella Cups Ingredients
You just need 4 simple ingredients to make these chocolate birds nests. All you need is:
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 12 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut
- 24 Cadbury mini eggs
Equipment
In order to make these Easter nests, you will need:
- mini muffin tins
- mini muffin liners
- large bowl that is microwave safe
Tips
Storage: Store these little nests in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. You can also store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. I would not recommend storing them at room temperature, just because they may melt depending upon how hot and humid it is where you live.
Dye the coconut! If you add food colorings to the shredded coconut, you can make the nest look green, brown, or whatever you like! Get creative with it!
Variations
Switch out the chocolate eggs. I love mini eggs, but you can definitely swap it out for any candy eggs you may have on hand. Jelly beans or malt eggs are great options for the egg candies at the center of the nest.
Instead of the shredded coconut: use coconut flakes. Or remove the coconut altogether if you don’t have it on hand.
Add some chocolate chips! I think that everything is better with chocolate chips. If you want the color to pop, I would choose white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips to add on top of the Nutella, but milk chocolate chips wouldn’t be too bad either.
