Surprisingly healthy and Easy 5 Ingredient Baked Chicken Strips recipe. Gluten free and so crispy, you will never believe the main ingredient for the crispiest chicken!
Mondays. Am I right?
But do you know what’s worse than Mondays?
Soggy, limp and bland chicken! Is there anything worse?
I recently went to a restaurant that SHALL NOT BE NAMED and the chicken was abysmal. I couldn’t even finish it, and that is saying something for me. I always finish my meals.
So what do I do? I make my own crispy chicken at home. Anything to get that awful taste out of my mouth.
Can you guess what the secret ingredient it in this chicken?
Based on the picture above, you may be able to conclude that it is Argo® Corn Starch! My personal favorite brand of corn starch.
Funny story. As some of you may know, I JUST moved to Chicago. Meaning I needed to buy all groceries I need to survive the first couple of days in my new place.
Guess what one of my first purchases was?
If you guessed Argo® Corn Starch, you are correct.
Not only does it make the crispiest chicken (and these Easy 5 Ingredient Baked Chicken Strips are the crispiest chicken I have made to date), it can be used in so many things!
The whole reason I bought the corn starch in the first place was to make my favorite Salted Caramel and White Chocolate Cookies. If you don’t know the corn starch in cookies hack, get on board!
The corn starch helps soften the proteins in the flour, helping you achieve a more tender, chewy cookie.
If this isn’t a secret ingredient in EVERYTHING, then I don’t know what is!
And you don’t need to just trust me. Argo® Corn Starch is the leading corn starch brand with over 100 years of quality and trust over multiple generations.
If it has been around for that long, you know it’s good!
So if you are trying to create the crispiest chicken with an airy texture, look no further.
And hey! Maybe make it on a Monday! It will chase those Monday blues away in no time.

You’re right, there is nothing worse than soggy chicken strips! They remind me of the frozen ones I used to eat as a kid. And I don’t have fond memories! I’m so glad these are crispy, and oven baked is even better. I’d love to be enjoying a few of these with a side salad for dinner tonight!
