Empress Gin and Elderflower Tonic recipe. This quick and easy drink idea is so refreshing, it mixes fever tree tonic to create a beautiful purple color.
Is it just me, or are you drinking more now that you are at home more often?
I have never been much of a drinker. An occasional happy hour with colleagues every once in a while, but I never have any alcohol at home.
Now that restaurants and bars are closed, we are moving happy hour online. Which means I am slowly learning how to make drinks at home.
And making drinks at home means I am experimenting with what alcohol brands I like. Empress Gin is one of them.
Have you ever tried Empress Gin before?? I tried it when I lived in Vancouver, because it is originated in Victoria BC.
So when the company reached out to me to give me a couple of bottles, I knew I wanted to work with them. They have been my favourite brand of gin that I have tried so far, and have yet to see it in stores here in Chicago.
This gin paired with any tonic makes a beautiful purple colour that can brighten your evening in this crazy pandemic.
Another great thing about this Empress Gin and Elderflower Tonic is the tonic I used. I am addicted to the Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic, and I think it goes so well with this gin.
I also cut up a blood orange for garnish, but feel free to leave it out if that’s not your jam.
So go ahead! Pour yourself a glass!!
We really do deserve it. Especially if, like me, you live in a place that is extending the lockdown for another 30 days.
Cheers to staying safe and healthy indoors!
