Easy Healthy Banana Split recipe. A quick and simple breakfast idea that tastes like dessert. Topped with yogurt and peanut butter.
We are moving all of our stuff from Chicago to Madison on Tuesday.
That’s in two days. I don’t know that I am ready. Moving is such a pain, especially with a baby. We don’t even have a place to live, we are literally just moving our stuff to a storage unit until we figure stuff out. Meanwhile, we are going to go on a road trip from Chicago to Vancouver.
Oh yeah, did I mention that it’s with a 7 month old? Pray for us! In the meantime, I am using up all of the perishable items in the house. This is where this Healthy Banana Split comes in.
What you need to make this Healthy Banana Split
Only breakfast foods, I promise you. All you need is:
- banana
- Greek yogurt
- strawberries
- cherries
- chocolate chips
- peanut butter
That’s it!
Variations
If you wanted a more decadent banana split, try frozen yogurt instead of Greek yogurt! I only used Greek yogurt to make it a more acceptable breakfast option, but frozen yogurt works well if you are making this for dessert.
As for the toppings, put whatever toppings you have on hand! I love making a toppings station in the morning and have people choose their own. This recipe is so versatile, you can really customize it to your preferences!

- 1-2 Tbsp chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp peanut butter, melted
Instructions
- Cut the banana lengthwise in half.
- Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop the Greek yogurt on top of the banana.

Notes
- Switch up the toppings for whatever you have on hand!
- You can use regular yogurt if you want, but it won't hold its shape as well as Greek yogurt.
