While I was making these bars, I was thanking my lucky stars that I am not allergic to peanuts. This was of course while shoveling spoonfuls of peanut butter into my mouth.
Because if you are looking for a peanut butter loaded recipe, look no further.
I have always been the kind of girl who will take a spoon right to the peanut butter jar and just go nuts (no pun intended). The only problem is, my sister was also that kind of girl.
But like the weirdo my sister is, (just kidding, ♥ you!) she would eat peanut butter from the jar… using a FORK! Which means everyone could tell when she was snacking on peanut butter.
And so, a little peanut butter war between my sister and I ensued. Whenever I saw fork marks in the peanut butter, I would take out my spoon and eat as much peanut butter as to smooth out the surface.
But whenever the surface was smooth, it seemed like my sister needed to rough it up again with her fork. And the cycle continued.
It seems like without my sister around, I am eating way less peanut butter.
But not today!!
These bars are eggless, butterless and made with ingredients that I am sure you all have in your house. And of you don’t like raisins, that is fine! Replace it with chocolate chips, or whatever mix ins you want!
Now. Time to buy more peanut butter!
