Holy Crap Mocha Oatmeal is the perfect recipe to make with your Holy Crap cereal. So easy to make, it is one of my favourite breakfasts.
Holy Crap! This might just be my favourite breakfast I have had in a while.
So if you have been following along with this blog for some time now, you must have noticed my oatmeal obsession. It has been going strong for years now, but sometimes I just need to mix it up.
This is where I grab my Holy Crap cereal and go to TOWN.
Isn’t this the best sounding name? The first time I bought this cereal, I bought it 100% for the name. I figured, with a name like that, it HAD to be good.
Now it is one of my go-to breakfasts when I don’t have the time to make an elaborate oatmeal bowl. These cereals have everything you need. All you need to do is scoop it in a bowl, add some hot (or cold) liquid and you are good to go. Perfect for my busy mornings, when I hit snooze wayyy too many times.
And with all the different flavours and textures, I never get bored.
In the above picture, you can see the different kinds available. So.. which one do you think I was drawn to the most?
Yeah, I will choose oats. Almost every time. Which is why I am glad that that one is the biggest bag.
The other two: the skinny B and the Dragon’s blend are SO GOOD on yogurt as a snack. But the Holy Crap Plus Oats Breakfast Cereal is the one I grab in the mornings.
This oatmeal almost tastes like cookie dough! The chia seeds in it make for a unique oatmeal experience and a SUPER THICK consistency. Personally, I say the thicker the better when it comes to oatmeal. But I know many people, John included, who prefers a more liquid oatmeal experience. If that sounds like you, you may want to either decrease the amount of Holy Crap Cereal you use, or increase the amount of liquid. Your choice depending on how hungry you are.
I have been happily recipe testing ways to make the perfect oatmeal with this cereal this past week, and this is what I came up with. It is SUPER filling, so I am fully satisfied until lunch AND it has coffee in it to give me the extra boost in the morning. Multitasking at it’s finest.

Holy Crap Mocha Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup Holy Crap plus oats breakfast cereal
- 2 Tbsp coconut chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the coffee and milk on medium heat. Add in the Holy Crap cereal, and cook until it reaches your desired thickness.
- Pour into a bowl and top with the coconut chips.
What a great little pack of goodies! I’ve always wanted to try this, I see it in stores all the time, but still haven’t picked any up. Now that you say it tastes like cookie dough, I want it even more. Haha.

I was one of HolyCrap’s first customes, in the way back days! I order variety packs by mail. Always have a stock on hand. There is almost nothing I make that doesn’t have a few tablespoons of one blend or the other in it.
