For once, I’m not cheers-ing with a cocktail. I wanted a comfort drink, and there is no better comfort drink than hot bubble tea.
What? You have never tried hot bubble tea? Then this is the perfect place to start.
Not only is hot bubble tea one of my favourite drinks, it is so easy to make this chocolate version! All you need is;
- hot chocolate mix
- milk
- cooked tapioca pearls
That’s it!!
If you don’t know how to make Tapioca pearls, don’t worry. I’ve got you. I make my super quick Instant Pot Tapioca Pearls all the time. They are one of my favourite things to make.
Maybe apart from the actual bubble tea itself. And also oatmeal….

So here’s me switching out my weekend cocktail for a hot bubble tea.

Hot Chocolate Bubble Tea
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp hot chocolate mix
- 1 1/2 cups milk of choice
- 1/4 cup cooked tapioca pearls
Instructions
- In a microwave safe mug, heat the milk for 1.2-2 minutes, or until hot. Mix in the hot chocolate mix.
- Mix in the cooked pearls. Enjoy!
