Easy Mango Chia Jam recipe. Made with only 3 ingredients, this healthy spread idea is perfect to mix with yogurt or on your morning toast.
Fresh mangoes might be my absolute favorite fresh fruit out there. It actually might be one of my favorite foods period. Nothing can beat it. So all of my new recipes are probably going to be mango flavored just because I buy them in bulk these days.
But this particular jam was made because my 2 year old toddler is obsessed with greek yogurt and jam. That is all he asks for these days. And every time we go shopping for jam, all of the store-bought jams shock me with how much added sugar there are in each jar.
This Mango Chia Jam has the same jam-like consistency as regular jam but so much healthier. I love putting it on top of ice cream, or mixing it into yogurt when I am eating it in front of my toddler. I might even replace all my traditional jam with this chia seed jam.
Mango Chia Jam Ingredients
You just need 3 simple ingredients to make this chia mango jam. All you need is:
- sweet mango chunks
- lime juice
- chia seeds
That’s it!
Tips
Use any type of chia seeds. This chia seed jam can be made with black chia seeds or white chia seeds. Whatever you have on hand!
Storage: store this homemade jam in a sealed container such as a mason jar for up to 1 week.
Don’t have a blender? A food processor works well for this recipe as well.
Variations
Add in some sweetness. I made this into a sugar free jam because I wanted a healthier jam option for my toddler. However, if you prefer a sweeter fruit jam, add in a bit of honey or maple syrup if you want it to be vegan.
Replace the lime juice. Lemon juice works well in place of lime juice.

Mango Chia Jam
Ingredients
- 2 cups mango, chopped into cubes
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
Instructions
- In a blender, pulse the mango and lime juice until smooth.
- Transfer to an airtight container and mix in the chia seeds. Place in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the chia seeds to thicken.
