Easy Maple Butter Latte Oatmeal recipe. This breakfast idea is perfect for days you want to get your coffee and oats in one big bowl!
Fall is officially here in Chicago.
The weather is getting colder, the leaves are changing colour and the pumpkin flavours are all over the place.
Typically, I would be all over the pumpkins. But right now, I am going for the other fall flavours. This week, it’s maple.
I bought a jar of maple butter on a whim from Quebec when I visited my sister. To be honest, I had no plans to use it for anything. I just bought it because I thought I needed a souvenir and Quebec sells SO many maple products that I thought it would be fitting.
The only problem is when I get back home. What to do with a jar of maple butter?
John isn’t a huge maple fan, so it was all up to me to use it up.
And of course, when I need to use something up, I put it in oatmeal.
(In case you aren’t aware, I make a LOT of oatmeal)
So what goes into this Maple Butter Latte Oatmeal?
All of my favourite ingredients to make oatmeal:
- strong brewed coffee (ALWAYS have some in the fridge)
- old fashioned oats (buy them 10 lbs at a time)
- chia seeds
plus some maple butter and whipped cream. That’s it!
So you are 5 ingredients away from making this oatmeal.
Forget about the pumpkin this season. Maple butter in your oatmeal is the way to go!
Do you think that I am going to run out of oatmeal flavour ideas? What other fall flavours do you want to see in my oatmeal?
