Easy Million Dollar Spaghetti recipe. Made with 8 simple ingredients, this simple dinner idea makes the ultimate comfort food.
I have made a lot of pasta casseroles in my day. But if I’m going to be completely honest, this is the family favorite.
My husband requests this recipe at least once a month, and it is a recipe that the whole family loves. My toddler is obsessed with this pasta, and so it doesn’t last long in our house at ALL.
So I’m going to make this recipe before all of the New Years resolutions kick in. Before we are even thinking about eating healthier. We need some comfort food over the holidays, And this Million Dollar Spaghetti is the perfect stick-to-your-bones recipe to make that even the pickiest family members will love.
Million Dollar Spaghetti Ingredient List
You just need some basic ingredients that you most likely have in your pantry already. All you need you need to make this million-dollar spaghetti is:
- spaghetti
- ground beef
- tomato sauce
- cold pats of butter
- cottage cheese
- cream cheese
- sour cream
- cheddar cheese
That’s it!
Tips & Variations
Experiment with different types of cheese. For the cheese mixture, you can use whatever kinds of cheese that you have on hand. When I was low on cheddar cheese, I would mix in some mozzarella cheese or some parmesan cheese. But whatever you have on hand is fine! Just make sure that you have plenty of cheese, because the cheese layer is what makes this million dollar spaghetti casserole extra special.
Use spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce. Want more classic flavors of spaghetti in this dish? Try mixing in some pasta sauce or marinara sauce into the savory meat sauce.
Add some more spice! Looking for a little more extra flavor? Try adding in some garlic powder or some Italian seasoning. If you want this baked spaghetti casserole to have a little more heat, try adding some red pepper flakes.
Change up the meaty sauce. Instead of ground beef, try using ground turkey, ground pork or ground chicken. Adding in a little Italian sausage would also taste great in the beef mixture.
Storing this spaghetti. Allow the spaghetti bake to cool to room temperature before storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
