You just need a handful of ingredients to make this Mini Chocolate Banana Yogurt Bark. A healthy sweet treat that is a lot of fun to make and eat.
I have discovered the best way to bribe my toddler into eating his dinner.
He used to be such a good eater. But ever since he turned 2, he has become an extremely fussy eater. I needed to get creative with ways to make him eat his dinner. And making this Mini Chocolate Banana Yogurt Bark for his dessert is a game changer.
Not only is it a fairly healthy dessert, it is a great way to satisfy your ice cream cravings without actually eating ice cream. Now my toddler requests “yogurt clusters” every time he finishes his dinner. And I happily give it to him. Then I give one of these frozen treats to myself for surviving another day with a headstrong 3 year old.
Mini Chocolate Banana Yogurt Bark Ingredients
This chocolate banana frozen yogurt bark is made with just 4 simple ingredients. All you need is:
- banana slices
- flavored yogurt
- chocolate chips
- coconut oil
Tips
Storage: Store this chocolate banana bark in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Experiment with different toppings. Because I have a huge sweet tooth, I love using flavored yogurt. But here are some variations that are also really good to try:
- swap out the yogurt: using vanilla Greek yogurt to make it into lightly sweetened Greek yogurt bark is a fun, healthier spin
- make a chocolate peanut butter bark: mix in some natural peanut butter and maple syrup to plain yogurt to give it a delicious peanut butter and chocolate flavor
- use different melted chocolate: semi-sweet is always my go-to, but I love using dark chocolate chips for a richer tasting yogurt chocolate bark.
Change the shape. When I make this for my toddler, I like making it into a rectangle instead of a flower shape, just so that it is easier to hold. Get creative with the shape!
