Easy Mummy Rice Krispie Treats recipe. This quick and simple dessert idea is perfect last minute snack for your Halloween party.
Another Halloween recipe? Who am I?
Lately I have only been making extremely simple and quick recipes. If it isn’t ready in under 20 minutes, then I’m probably not making it. That’s because my 10 month old baby sleeps right beside the kitchen. I’m not risking waking up the baby and having him be cranky all day long.
So it looks like I am going to be making these Mummy Rice Krispie Treats over and over for the next couple of weeks.
What you need to make Mummy Rice Krispie Treats
It’s great because you probably already have all of the ingredients in your pantry! All you need is:
- butter
- mini marshmallows
- Rice Krispies cereal
- white chocolate chips
- coconut oil
- mini chocolate chips
That’s it!
Substitutions
If you don’t have all of the ingredients, that is fine! You can use whatever you have at home!
Don’t have mini marshmallows? You can replace the 4 cups of mini marshmallows needed for this recipe for 32 regular sized marshmallows. In general, the conversion is 1 cup mini marshmallows = 8 regular sized marshmallows.
If you don’t have white chocolate chips, you can always replace those with milk chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chips. It won’t be as striking as the white mummies, but you can just say the wrapping on the mummies got dirty.
Another substitution that I want to do for next time I make these is to replace the mini chocolate chips with candy eyeballs. I think that would really take these mummy treats to the next level.
