Happy Friday y’all!
How is summer treating you? Any summer plans? Going to the beach? Cabin? Or are you working all through summer?
Whatever the case, I feel like Fridays deserve peanut butter and chocolate! I mean, can you think of a better combination?
AND, I feel like summer days deserve no bake treats. What do you say? Are you ready for one of the easiest desserts you will make this summer?
These no bake bars were gone faster than I would like to admit. Hiding them in the back of the fridge didn’t even work! For a couple of days, you could find me right by the open refrigerator door. Stealing bite after bite of these cute little bars.
I used Corn Flakes inside, but you could easily replace it with Rice Krispies, or your own favorite cereal. My suggestion would be to make sure it’s not an overly sugary cereal: these bars are sweet enough as is.
These no bake chocolate peanut butter corn flakes bars are so easy to make, I have been making them on repeat lately. Especially since it has been way too hot to turn on the oven to bake something lately.
Another great recipe that I have been making that is similar to this one is my Skor Corn Flake Bars. When I run out of chocolate chips, I turn to Skor chips. They are both so good and so easy, you really have no excuse NOT to make them. Especially on a hot day like today!
No Bake Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Corn Flakes Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 3 cups Corn Flakes cereal, crushed
- 6 oz chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 baking pan with aluminium foil or parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup on low heat until melted. Stir in the Corn Flakes.
- Press the Corn Flake mixture into the prepared baking pan. Allow to cool.
- Place the chocolate chips and the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl, and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until melted. Spread over the Corn Flake mixture, and allow to cool. When cool, cut into squares.

Such an amazing dessert. So clever!

Corn flakes were my favorite cereal growing up. How neat to see a bar using them instead of rice krispies. These look scrumptious. Can't beat that chocolate – peanut butter combo!

Yes, it's absolutely the taste of madness. I'm a big fan of peanuts and peanut butter is my favourite spread ever! Having a couple of apples topped with it is my favourite snack EVER! Gotta make your chocolate piece of heaven soon!

The chocolate and peanut butter is enough to make me want to dive into these. But then you put corn flakes in there! And I died a little bit. In a good way. A very good way.

Peanut butter and chocolate is EVERYTHING. I make something like this but with Rice Krispies – I am definitely going to try Corn Flakes this time!

These look so good! A quick question: should you crush the corn flakes before adding? Or do they kind of dissolve from the hot mixture? I need to try this very soon!
atasteofmadness
It depends on what texture you want!! I crush them, but you don’t need to if you like a crunchier texture.
