Peanut Butter and Chocolate Rice Krispies Squares Ingredients
You just need 5 simple ingredients to make these no bake chocolate peanut butter rice krispie treats. All you need is:
- peanut butter chips
- creamy peanut butter
- Rice Krispie cereal
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- coconut oil
Equipment
- large microwave-safe bowl
- 9×13 inch pan
- parchment paper
Tips
Storage: store any leftover peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Switch out the chocolate. For the melted chocolate, experiment with whatever chocolate chips you have! White chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips are great alternatives to the semi-sweet ones.
Use different cereal. These cereal bars are so versatile, you can swap out the crisp rice cereal for any other type of cereal. I love using cocoa krispies, but you can use cheerios, corn flakes or golden grahams.
Add some peanut butter. This recipe uses peanut butter chips, but you can add some peanut butter into the chocolate mixture. Instead of using coconut oil, I like using unsweetened natural peanut butter to give it a more rich peanut butter flavor.
