Easy Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Smoothie recipe. This quick and simple drink idea is great for breakfast or as a snack.
So… we were going to wait until after we got back from Vancouver to fix our air conditioning. Since we were going to spend basically all of the summer in Vancouver, we didn’t really need the AC to be functional in our house.
That was before the dermatologist told us that we should take our little baby in for a biopsy to see what’s up with his skin.
So now we are waiting for the results in Wisconsin. With no AC. And 30 degree plus weather. I mean 30 degrees celsius, not fahrenheit. You can imagine I’m refusing to turn on the oven. It’s just no bake desserts and this Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Smoothie on repeat.
What you need to make Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Smoothie
No oven needed to make this recipe. All you need is:
- frozen grapes
- milk
- packet of acai puree
- vanilla protein powder
- chia seeds
- natural peanut butter
That’s it!
Expert Tips
- Don’t have an acai packet? You can replace that with 1/2 cup frozen berries. Because grapes aren’t extremely flavorful, having something else to pack in some flavor gives this smoothie a nice kick.
- Don’t have natural peanut butter? Because natural peanut butter is pretty runny, it is more ideal than the regular stuff you buy in the grocery stores. But if you don’t have any, or if your natural peanut butter isn’t runny, just heat it up for 10-15 seconds until it is a runny consistency. Then you can easily drizzle it along the sides of the mason jar.
- Want to make this smoothie vegan? Choose a dairy free milk and a vegan protein powder. I love using oat milk in this recipe, because it makes it extra creamy.
