Easy No Bake Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars recipe. These cheerio treats are the best way to satisfy your sweet tooth in under 15 minutes.
It is getting HOT out there. That just means that I am making all kinds of no bake treats in my kitchen these days.
I am a huge fan of these no bake bars because they use only 3 pantry ingredients, making them the perfect after school snack.
Brung these Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars along with you on road trips, picnics or in your lunch box this summer. One of my favorite on the go snacks to have as a quick sweet treat.
Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars Ingredients
You just need three simple ingredients to make this cereal bar recipe. All you need is:
- honey
- creamy peanut butter
- plain cheerios
That’s it!
Equipment
- medium microwave-safe bowl
- 9×9 inch pan
- rubber spatula
Tips
Storage: Store any leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. You can also store them in the fridge for up to 1 week.
What type of peanut butter to use? Because you want the peanut butter mixture to stick together as much as possible, using the processed peanut butter is best. I would not recommend natural peanut butter or homemade peanut butter because those typically are extremely watery.
Variations
Make them vegan. You can swap out an equal amount of honey for corn syrup, agave nectar or maple syrup. Just know that if you are using maple syrup, the cereal bars won’t hold together as nicely, so you will need to store them in the fridge.
Experiment with different cereal. Instead of regular cheerios, try using flavored cheerios like honey nut cheerios. Alternatively, you could use Lucky Charms to make Lucky Charms treats. This is such a simple recipe that is so versatile, you can pretty much use whatever you have on hand.
Swap out the peanut butter. Experiment with different nut butters, such as almond butter, cashew butter or sunflower seed butter.

I love making these because there is no need to turn the oven on. They are great treats and it is just too hot to heat up my kitchen with an oven lately.

It is way too hot to turn the oven on where I am too 😉
