One thing that I always have in my fridge is cheese strings.
Whenever I snack, I always seem to reach for something sugary. Cheese strings are one of the only non sugary snack that I will be excited to eat. I mean, lets be honest. Are you excited to eat a handful of nuts or some raw veggies?
So these Pretzel Witch Brooms were bound to happen around Halloween. They are super fun, extremely easy to make and are a pretty healthy snack.
What you need to make Pretzel Witch Brooms
I feel like this ingredient list is pretty obvious, but here it is just in case:
- cheese strings
- pretzels
+ some twine to make them look more broom-like, but that is IT!
Assembling the Brooms
One of the main tips for assembling these brooms is to make sure that you have cut a good amount of cheese string for the broom part. It’s better to cut off too much than it is to have a tiny piece that you can’t work with.
Also, make sure to stick the pretzel part into the cheese string FIRST. If you peel the cheese string first, you are at risk of peeling it too much and making the cheese unusable.
And have fun! While these are much more time consuming to make than they are to eat, making these brooms is such a fun activity to do with kids.
