Easy Salmon with Wasabi Mayo recipe. This quick and simple meal is ready in under 30 minutes making it a healthy weeknight dinner idea.
I have been making this Salmon with Wasabi Mayo on repeat for the past few days.
Why? Well, this week has been one of the busiest weeks. I feel like I say this every week, but now that I have a kid it seems like things take 3x as long to accomplish.
So this dinner recipe is saving me more days than I can count.
What do you need to make this Salmon with Wasabi Mayo?
Not much at all! All you need is:
- salmon
- sesame oil
- salt & pepper
- mayonnaise
- wasabi
- sesame seeds
That’s it!
Preparing the Wasabi Mayo
When preparing the wasabi mayo, flavour is KEY!
Be prepared to taste the mayo as you go to determine whether or not there is enough wasabi to your liking. I put a medium amount of wasabi in the recipe so it’s not too mild or too spicy, but add as much or as little as you like.

Salmon with Wasabi Mayo
Ingredients
- 16 oz salmon fillets
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp prepared wasabi
- 1 1/2 Tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425˚F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Drizzle with sesame oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until salmon easily flakes with a fork.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and the wasabi until fully combined.
- Once salmon is done, top with wasabi mayo and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
- Add more or less wasabi depending on how spicy you want this salmon.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
