These Strawberry Milk Pancakes are the perfect last minute breakfast idea. They are so soft and fluffy, you will want to make them every morning!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I am already planning some fun treats to make for love day.
Ever since I had kids, I feel like holidays seems so much more magical. And one of the ways that I love to celebrate is with good food that the whole family will love. And these Strawberry Milk Pancakes were a hit at the breakfast table this weekend.
The only thing better than a stack of pancakes are homemade strawberry pancakes. Because we live in Wisconsin, we have access to so much good dairy. And on our most recent trip to a local dairy farm, we picked up some strawberry milk. It was so good, I knew that I needed to make something with it. And that is how these delicious strawberry pancakes were born.
While these fluffy strawberry pancakes are good on their own, I personally love to add some whipped cream and some strawberry puree on top of the pancakes to make them extra special. I promise you, your entire family will love these pancakes. Plus, they are actually a lot better toasted in the toaster the next day!
Strawberry Milk Pancakes Ingredients
You just need 8 simple ingredients to make this strawberry pancakes recipe. All you need is:
- strawberry milk
- large egg
- melted butter
- all purpose flour
- granulated sugar
- baking soda
- baking powder
- salt
Tips
Storage: Store any leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. If you want to freeze the pancakes, allow the pancakes to cool at room temperature before placing them in a large freezer bag.
Reheating leftover pancakes. You can either heat them in the microwave or toast them in your toaster or toaster oven. I prefer toasting them, as it gives them such a unique texture. The pancakes end up being crunchy on the outside with a fluffy texture on the inside. But toasting them works on both refrigerated and frozen pancakes.
Make them vegan. You can make these pancakes vegan by replacing the egg and dairy milk for plant based alternatives. Some of my favorite egg substitutes in pancakes 1/4 cup of applesauce, or making a flax egg. For the strawberry milk, just mix together almond milk (or your favorite non dairy milk) with strawberry syrup strawberry jam. You could also try mixing together fresh strawberries with your milk of choice in a food processor can give you a fresher kind of strawberry milk.
Use an ice cream scoop to make the pancakes a uniform shape. If you wanted to keep the size of the pancakes consistent, try scooping the pancake batter onto the hot griddle using an ice cream scoop! It creates less mess, and gives you the perfect shape every time.
Add some mix-ins. I love adding chopped strawberries to the batter, but chocolate chips or any other fresh berries would taste great in these pancakes.
