Easy Taro Milkshake Bubble Tea recipe. Made with only 4 ingredients, this drink is a sweet dessert beverage to cool you down.
Am I in desperate need of milkshakes at all times of the day? Yes. But do I need bubble tea at all times of the day? Also yes.
Since I am in Vancouver, aka: bubble tea heaven (in comparison to Madison), I know that I can get some good boba here. But for when I go back to Wisconsin, there is always this Taro Milkshake Bubble Tea.
What you need to make Taro Milkshake Bubble Tea
If you have all of the ingredients, this milkshake bubble tea is super easy to make. All you need is:
- Taro powder
- vanilla ice cream
- milk
- cooked black tapioca pearls
That’s it!
Tips and Notes
- Tapioca pearls. For the tapioca pearls, you will need to have already cooked tapioca pearls. These are the black ones, NOT the small white ones. I use my Instant Pot Tapioca Pearls recipe using these Black Tapioca Pearls that I buy on Amazon. Some people haven’t had success with other brands of pearls, so I highly suggest you buy these ones.
- Switch up the flavors. You do not only need to make a taro milkshake with this recipe. You can switch out the Taro powder for any other powder flavors you like. Replacing it with hot chocolate mix is one of my favorite variations.
- Use a good quality blender. There is nothing worse when you are drinking a milkshake than getting a chunk of something, be it ice or ice cream. Investing in a good quality blender is 100% worth it in my opinion.
