Easy Valentine’s Day Oreo Truffles recipe. The perfect treat for a last minute, no bake dessert to make for February 14th.
Valentines day is just around the corner. In fact, it is on a Wednesday this year. So I’m sure that you are all looking for a delicious treat to make in no time at all. Let me tell you, this easy truffle recipe is the one for you.
Not only is it only made with 5 ingredients, you can make these from start to finish in under 15 minutes. With all that in mind, what is there NOT to love with these Oreo cookie balls?
Valentine’s Day Oreo Truffles Ingredients
You only need a handful of ingredients to make these Valentine’s Day Truffles. The 5 simple ingredients you need are:
- Oreo Cookies: Make sure that you use the regular Oreos and NOT the Double Stuf. This uses an entire package of Oreos.
- Cream Cheese: Full fat cream cheese works best in these homemade truffles.
- White Chocolate Chips: White candy melts work well here too.
- Coconut Oil: This is to make a softer chocolate coating while still making the chocolate truffles solid.
- Valentine’s Day Sprinkles: Heart shape or pink sprinkles work well here.
Tips
If you don’t have a food processor: use a rolling pin to make the cookie crumbs. All you need to do is place the Oreos in a large ziplock bag, then roll with a rolling pin until the Oreos turn into fine crumbs.
Buy Oreo crumbs. If making crushed Oreos is too daunting, you can buy Oreo crumbs in a box from the grocery store. Just replace the Oreo cookies with 3 cups of Oreo crumbs.
Storage: Store these Valentine’s Day Oreo Truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. Do not store these Oreo balls at room temperature because they contain cream cheese.
Variations
Use different Oreo flavors. I love using Golden Oreos or Dark Chocolate Oreos, but any Oreo (other than Double Stuf Oreos) work well.
Switch up the chocolate. You can use pink candy melts if you wanted these truffles to have more of a pink color. Or, if you don’t have any of that on hand, using milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips works well here too.
Flavor the chocolate mixture. I love adding fun flavors to my truffles. After you get to the step in the recipe card where you melt chocolate, simply add in an extract of your choice to the melted chocolate. Personally, I love mint extract or cake batter flavor.

We prepared these oreo truffles for dessert to enjoy after a meal, but almost half eaten by family as soon as they were made. Quickly made another batch for friends and we all enjoyed it.

I don’t know what I like the most, the truffles or the covering! I didn’t have Valentine’s confetti, and I made yesterday, so it wasn’t a problem. We all loved them. Definitely, a keeper.
