Line an 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the coconut oil, shredded coconut and maple syrup. Pour into the prepared pan, and refrigerate until hardened, around 1 hour.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, mixing until smooth. Pour on top of the hardened coconut layer. Refrigerate until the chocolate is hardened and cut into squares.
